“My fellow Americans, ask not what your country can do for you, ask what you can do for your country.” ~ JFK
Imagine if every day, each and every one of us thought this great quote JFK said so many years ago. We are so quick to blame others for what we don’t have, and for what others did to us, and how life is not fair. But, what if we could change all of that with just one positive thought, and then another, and another? What if we started today, thinking thoughts like:
- “I am so blessed to have my health.”
- “I am so grateful to have a roof over my head.”
- “I am so lucky, to live in the land of the free, home of the brave.”
If changing our thoughts, could change our mindset, and alter our attitude towards ourself and towards others, than isn’t it possible we could also make a difference for our country? Racial intolerance towards others can change to Racial Intelligence, when we start treating ourselves and others with respect, and kindness, and fairness.
Racial Intelligence can be Learned: “It is the practice of using Emotional Intelligence (EI) and Social Intelligence (SI) Tools to treat ourselves and others fairly.”
