SUMMARY:RITE Professional Workplace for Leaders in Agency - (Piedmont\, CA)
DESCRIPTION:Private Leadership Class\nRITE Academy is pleased to provide RITE Professional Workplace for Leaders in the Agency of Piedmont Police Department\, CA. \n\nRITE classes are nationally recognized in encouraging a bias-free workplace\, that includes treating each other and the community with fairness and kindness. Our classes include a combination of emotional and social intelligence skill-building with unique accountability Tools. Years of research along with hands-on training\, give your employees a sole-source experience that is unmatched. \n \n  \n  \n“Training cannot be done the same way we did in the 1980’s. In order to build racial equity that includes fairness and justice\, we need to change how we do things\, from leadership on down.” ~ Linda Webb \n\n “RITE Training benefits ALL (Fire\, Police\, Corrections) in Public Service”\n \nWhy RITE works for ALL in Public Service\nRITE’s critical components of both Emotional Intelligence (EI) and Social Intelligence (SI)\, helps all in public service\, improve communication on many levels. These classes help to improve resiliency awareness\, as well as personal and professional relationships. \n\nEmotional Intelligence is being aware of our emotions\, and to acknowledge that emotions can drive behavior that impacts others (positively and negatively). Social Intelligence is how we effectively navigate and negotiate all social relationships and situations. \n\nRITE Tools\, like the Emotional Energy Ladder (in this photo)\, makes us aware of our emotions\, how we affect others\, and that only we have the power to make those changes. \n  \nAnger\, Hate\, and Blame\, all live at the bottom of the RITE Ladder. Although we all can feel those emotions during our day\, learning how to control them\, is key to great leadership. Bias-free engagement\, lives at the top of the Ladder with Love\, Gratitude\, Joy\, and Confidence. \n  \nA safe workplace\, free of all types of harassment starts with doing the RITE thing\, and helping others do the same. Improved communication starts here. \n\n\n\nRITE is: “The practice of using Emotional Intelligence (EI)\, Social Intelligence (SI) and the RITE Tools (RI)\, to treat ourselves and others fairly.” \n\n\n  \nRITE Professional Workplace Training\nTeaching components that reinforce your company’s values of having a professional bias-free workplace culture for all employees is our goal. Each class includes Emotional Intelligence Tools your employees learn from and use in class with each other\, and well after we are gone. \n  \nWorkplace Culture Breakdowns include:\n\nUnprofessional Behavior\nElements of Entitlement\nMental Looping and Negative Banter\nImplicit Bias and Hot Buttons\nRumors and Gossip\nUnprofessional Social Media Posting\n\n\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n\n\nRITE helps reinforce the company culture of treating everyone fairly\, in a professional manner. This helps your department build bias-free policing within the community. \n  \n  \n\n\nEmotional Intelligence is being aware of our emotions\, and to acknowledge that emotions can drive behavior that impacts others (positively and negatively). Social Intelligence is how we effectively navigate and negotiate all social relationships and situations. \n\nRITE Tools\, like the Emotional Energy Ladder (in this photo)\, makes us aware of our emotions\, how we affect others\, and that only we have the power to make those changes. Racism lives at the bottom of the Ladder with Hate. Bias-free lives at the top of the Ladder with Love\, Gratitude and Joy. \nA safe workplace\, free of all types of harassment starts with doing the RITE thing\, and helping others do the same. \n\n\n\nRacial Intelligence is: “The practice of using Emotional Intelligence (EI)\, Social Intelligence (SI) and the RITE Tools to treat ourselves and others fairly.” \n\n\nGoals and Objectives:\nThis course is designed to educate officers on harassment and offer guidance on how to identify and eliminate harassment inside and outside the department. By the end of the course\, students will be able to: \n\nIdentify different types of workplace harassment\nAnalyze situations and determine the existence of harassment\nList practical examples of verbal\, non-verbal\, and physical harassment\nIdentify organizational factors that impact the amount\, type\, and severity of harassment\nAppropriately address harassment complaints\nLearn how to use EI and SI tools that embrace diversity and inclusion\nEmotional Intelligence and Mindfulness – Problems into solutions\nDe-escalation communication awareness – The 3-EI approach\nIdentify different types of Implicit bias that lead to harassment\n\n  \nRITE Training in the Media:\nHLN Michaela Pereira:  Are officer-involved shootings a training problem?\nCBS 8 Selma\, Alabama DOC – the missing link to officer training\nFox 19 News – Middletown officers train in Racial Intelligence \n  \nRITE Training Articles:\nOfficers Police themselves back up LADDER https://goo.gl/VBRdjm\nRacial Intelligence Training at Notre Dame College www.goo.gl/bGOKJX\nCommunity Policing is climbing above the burden of Hate www.goo.gl/DG6sSI – \n  \n3-Session Agenda\nWednesday May 28\nSession 1   8:00a – 12:00p\nSession 2  1:00p – 5:0p \nWednesday May 29\nSession 3   8:00a – 12:00p \n  \nTraining Location\nRichmond Police Department\n600 Preston Street\nRichmond\, TX 77469\nGoogle Map\n\n\n  \nGet Info\n\n  \n  \n

SUMMARY:RITE Leadership: JUL 26\, 2017 Georgia Police Chiefs Conf. (Savannah\, GA)
DESCRIPTION:Racial Intelligence for Executive Leadership in Policing\n\n\n\n\nDescription: \nOne wrong move caught on camera\, can put a black cloud over an entire department. RITE Leadership Training teaches critical components of Emotional Intelligence (EI)\, and Social Intelligence (SI)\, combined with the RITE Tools. The RITE combination drives individual performance\, towards team success. \nEmotional Intelligence is being aware of our emotions\, and to acknowledge that emotions can drive behavior that impacts others (positively and negatively). Social Intelligence is how we effectively navigate and negotiate all social relationships and situations. \nRITE Tools\, like the Emotional Energy Ladder (instructor’s banner-size seen in the photo)\, that participants in this training receive\, makes us aware of our emotions\, how we affect others\, and that only we have the power to make those changes. Great leadership starts with doing the RITE thing\, in order to help others do the same. \nThis lays the groundwork towards positive employee engagement\, on and off the streets\, keeping negative media attention away. Let’s give the media something good to talk about!
