This training is by invitation only. Contact information below. \n  \nAbout the City of Groveland\nThe City of Groveland is nestled in the beautiful rolling hills of south Lake County. The area is well known for its beautiful lakes\, of which Lake County has more than five hundred\, with many located in this southern region. Groveland is a thriving and vibrant city that was incorporated in 1922. Our community has experienced many changes since it was first settled; from a name change to changes in industry first perfume and lumber then citrus and tourism. Our continued success is in large part due to our perfect location. \n            Read more about Groveland\n                Groveland is located in sunny Central Florida at the crossroads of State Road 50\, State Road 19\, and State Road 33\, located only a few minutes from the Florida Turnpike. The City is located 27 miles west of Downtown Orlando\, 35 miles from Walt Disney World\, and 70 miles from Tampa. Groveland is conveniently located only 9 miles from South Lake Hospital\, the National Training Center\, and the Special Olympics Florida year round training facility.Lake-Sumter Community College is only 11 short miles away offering University of Central Florida and Saint Leo University extended campuses. \nWe have a current population of 12\,493 and are projected to steadily grow well into the next decade. Our community has grown rapidly over the last few years with many of the new residents coming from the Metro Orlando area.These new citizens move here to provide their families with a more secure and sedate way of life. Groveland prides itself on being a city where children can safely ride their bikes throughout the neighborhood without causing their parents constant worry and a place where your neighbor shares more with you than just a space on a street block. \nWe may be a developing community\, but Groveland still maintains that old southern small town appeal.\n            \n\n  \n\nThis is for ALL in Public Service… Police\, Fire\, City can all benefit\n “5 Officers from different parts of the county learn about the Ladder of Emotions and how EVERYONE can benefit from this RITE Tool.”\n \n  \n  \nRITE Professional Workplace Training\nTeaching critical components of both Emotional Intelligence (EI) and Social Intelligence (SI)\, improves resiliency awareness\, as well as personal and professional communication and relationships. \n\nEmotional Intelligence is being aware of our emotions\, and to acknowledge that emotions can drive behavior that impacts others (positively and negatively). Social Intelligence is how we effectively navigate and negotiate all social relationships and situations. \n\nRITE Tools\, like the Emotional Energy Ladder (in this photo)\, makes us aware of our emotions\, how we affect others\, and that only we have the power to make those changes. \n  \nAnger\, Hate\, and Blame\, lives at the bottom of the Ladder. Although we all can feel those emotions during our day\, learning how to control them\, is key to great leadership.
