SUMMARY:RITE Leadership Training @Houston Metro Police Dept. JAN. 25\, 2020 (Houston\, TX)
DESCRIPTION:RITE Workplace Leadership\nPrivate Training:\nRITE Workplace Leadership for Houston Metro Transit Authority Police Department (METRO Police Department) is a private training by invitation only. Created to improve communication skills and an overall workplace culture for all police and corrections officers\, sworn and civilians. RITE Academy has delivered training to over 500 government\, universities\, corporate clients and military agencies. \nMETRO has taken proactive measures to give their police leaders RITE training and tools that will help improve communication in the agency and on the streets. Teaching critical components that include both Emotional Intelligence (EI) and Social Intelligence (SI)\, that improves resiliency awareness\, as well as personal and professional relationships. \n  \n  \nA Message From Chief Vera Bumpers\, METRO Police\n“The METRO Police Department (MPD) is a full-time\, full-service police agency made up of more than 191 sworn Texas Peace Officers and 44 civilian staff members. Although positive changes are happening at METRO\, we have not changed our commitment to providing the best possible police services to our community. \nWe value diversity and believe in treating everyone with respect and dignity. Our goal is to provide professional\, fair\, and impartial law enforcement services to the entire community.” \n– Vera Bumpers\, Chief of Police \n  \n\nYouTube Video – RITE Professional Workplace is for ALL in Public Service\n \n\nEmotional Intelligence is being aware of our emotions\, and to acknowledge that emotions can drive behavior that impacts others (positively and negatively). Social Intelligence is how we effectively navigate and negotiate all social relationships and situations. \n\nRITE Tools\, like the Emotional Energy Ladder (in this photo)\, makes us aware of our emotions\, how we affect others\, and that only we have the power to make those changes. Racism lives at the bottom of the Ladder with Hate. Bias-free lives at the top of the Ladder with Love\, Gratitude and Joy. \nGreat leadership begins and ends with doing the RITE thing\, and helping others do the same. \n\n\n\nRacial Intelligence is: “The practice of using Emotional Intelligence (EI)\, Social Intelligence (SI) and the RITE Tools to treat ourselves and others fairly.” \n\n\n\nRITE Professional Workplace Training\nRITE’s Professional Workplace Training is nationally recognized in creating a bias-free\, harassment-free workplace. Our teaching approach is unique and the training is fun\, engaging\, and reinforces company values of having a professional workplace culture not just for some\, but for all employees\, top to bottom. \nEach student will get a RITE Tool Kit to learn from\, and use in class with each other\, and beyond. These are designed to share with loved ones at home\, and at work well after the training day. \n  \nWorkplace Culture Breakdowns included in class: \n\nUnprofessional Behavior\nElements of Entitlement\nMental Looping and Negative Banter\nImplicit Bias\, Issues\, and Hot Buttons\nRumors and Gossip\n\n  \n\nRITE helps to reinforce the company culture of treating everyone fairly\, in a professional manner. Learning to Value others\, is key to building a professional workplace culture\, that will be passed on for years to come. \n\n  \n\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n\n  \nRITE in the Media: \nTEDx on RITE – Use of Voice by Sgt Jones\nCBS 8 Selma\, Alabama DOC – the missing link to officer training\nFox 19 News – Middletown officers train with RITE \nLINK to more Media\n  \nRITE Articles: \nPolice affected by Implicit Issues – Article Link\n6 Signs of Workplace Harassment Issues Article Link\nProfessional Workplace Culture Reduces Police Misconduct – Article Link \nLINK to all Articles\n  \nConnect with us on Social Media\nLinkedIn    https://www.linkedin.com/groups/8369062\nFacebook   https://www.facebook.com/RiteAcademy\nTwitter       https://twitter.com/RiteAcademy \nDaily Agenda\n8:45        Registration and Coffee\n9:00 – 11:50 am     Morning session\n12:00 – 1:00 pm     Lunch Break\n1:00 – 5:00 pm      Afternoon session \n  \nTraining Location\nTBD\nHouston\, Texas 77002 \n  \nLocal Contact\n \nJevetta L.Fonteno-Davis\nMPD Police Coordinator\n1900 Main Street 13th Floor\nHouston\, Texas 77002\n  \nGet Info\n\n  \n  \n
